Modernday Slavery

Last updated: July 2023

1. Introduction:
UK Job Hub is committed to ensuring that there is no modern slavery or human trafficking in any part of our business or supply chains. This policy reflects our dedication to acting ethically and with integrity in all business relationships.

2. Purpose:
This policy sets out UK Job Hub’s stance on modern slavery and human trafficking. We aim to educate our staff and suppliers to ensure that modern slavery is not present within our business or supply chains.

3. Definition:
Modern slavery encompasses slavery, servitude, forced or compulsory labor, and human trafficking. All have in common the deprivation of a person’s liberty to exploit them for personal or commercial gain.

4. Our Commitment:

Internal Practices: We ensure that our hiring practices are robust and adhere to local employment laws and standards.
Supply Chain: We expect our suppliers to adopt appropriate due diligence to ensure that their own operations are not complicit in human rights abuses.

5. Due Diligence and Risk Assessment:
We have systems in place to:

Identify inappropriate labor practices.
Monitor potential risk areas in our supply chains.
Protect whistleblowers.

6. Training and Awareness:
Regular training on this policy and on the risk our business faces from modern slavery is mandatory for all our staff.

7. Reporting:
Employees, contractors, or any other organizational stakeholders who have concerns are encouraged to report them. This can be done confidentially and, if desired, anonymously.

8. Compliance:
All suppliers and contractors working with UK Job Hub must confirm their adherence to this policy and provide evidence of compliance upon request.

9. Review:
We will review both the policy and our working practices annually to ensure their continued effectiveness.
